THE VINEYARD
This extraordinary mountain-top fruit from the John block of Phelan Ranch is exclusively available from Addax Wines. Nestled on top of a soaring ridgeline, this fruit embodies the raw power and concentration that defines our wine. It all begins with the remarkable strength of Chert, a sedimentary rock formed over millions of years from the microscopic remains of diatoms, plankton, and radiolarians at the bottom of the ocean. As a result, the John block boasts extremely nutrient-rich soils derived from these unique rocks, which had to be meticulously broken down to create the perfect soil for cabernet vines to flourish.
